What do I see when I look in the Mirror?

Look in the mirror. Does the person you see match the person you feel like on the inside? How much stock do you put in appearances?
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Mirror, Mirror.”

What do I see when I look in the Mirror?

I see someone with epilepsy.

I see someone who has visited many Emergency Rooms, experienced many EEGs and MRIs, and visited many neurologists.

I see a divorcee coping with life on her own.

I see a person struggling to find full-time employment.

I see someone who has made many mistakes, but has learned a lot because of them.

I see fatigue.  It cannot be helped, since my meds make me a little sleepy.

I see trying to hide that fatigue behind makeup.

I see someone who really needs to lose some weight.

I see a person who is attempting to improve her overall health despite all of this.

Most importantly, I see someone who doesn’t give up easily.

If we were to meet on the street, what would you see?
