Virtual Coffee Date – January 2018

My blog posting has been somewhat erratic in the past few months.  I thought I would update you on the latest.  I will attempt to control myself and keep it to one latte.  I hope you have a warm beverage ready.

If we were having coffee right now, I would tell you that I made my annual trip to see my family over the holidays.  Unfortunately, it was cold when I flew out to see them.  The flight itself was uneventful, which is always a good thing.

If we were having coffee right now, I would tell you that when I arrived it was even colder.  That area of the country was hit by the polar vortex and I was happy that I remembered to pack many sweaters.

If we were having coffee right now, I was really happy to see my family again.  It was nice to catch up with family and play with nieces and nephews.  I did not have any seizures this time.  I miss them already, which reopens the question “Should I move closer to my family?”  I think getting some questions answered about health insurance would be a factor.

If we were having coffee right now, I would tell you that the flight back was very eventful.  I was on my way to my layover stop when I found out that my flight from the layover to my final destination got cancelled.  There was a big storm that hit and many other flights were cancelled also.  Fortunately, my sister lives in the area and I was able to stay at her place.  I got to see some of my family for a little longer than planned.  I was also really happy that I packed extra medicine.  The next flight that I rescheduled also got cancelled, so I rescheduled yet one more time.  That one got to my final destination with no problems.
